Introduction and Objectives

Welcome to HUD's online training module on Real Estate Acquisition and Relocation in HUD Programs. This module provides critical information on how your HUD funded project may be impacted by two federal laws:

  • Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA or Uniform Act) and

  • Section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Development Act.

If your HUD funded program or project requires the acquisition of real estate or displaces persons from their homes, businesses or farms, YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS INFORMATION.

What will you learn in this module?

This module will provide you with useful information in order to comply with the minimum requirements of the URA and Section 104(d).

By the end of this module, you should be able to:
